The location
Spittal is a charming little town in the "Kärntner Oberland" area. It has 15,000 inhabitants and is situated in a tourist region with many rural villages inviting for recreation holidays. Fantastic mountains, the warm lake Millstättersee, clear rivers, fresh air, a mild climate and a range of leisure time facilities are offered that leave nothing to be desired.

Accommodation
The Kolpinghaus is located in the town centre between two schoolbuildings. It offers pleasant rooms equipped with shower and toilet. There are mainly two and three bedded rooms. The classrooms are in the house and the schoolbuildings closed by.

Sports facilities
A green for volleyball and an outdoor table tennis belong to the Kolpinghaus. Beyond that the following sporting activities can be offered: Sailing for beginners and advanced level, surfing courses with basic or A-licence

examination, riding, downstream canoeing and tennis with / without trainer.

Excursions
We offer excursions to Rosegg's wild animal park, to the mountains Reißeck and Goldeck, to the mountains of the Nockberge, to Klagenfurt and Minimundus, to the valley Maltatal, to the excavations of the Roman settlements Teurnia and Magdalensberg. A full day excursion is offered to Salzburg. We also offer a two days excursion to Vienna.

Arrival and departure
By car motorway Klagenfurt- Villach- Spittal / Drau Ost, by plane to Klagenfurt airport; transfer to Spittal/Drau and by train from Wien-Südbahnhof; we go to meet our students at Spittal/Drau railway station.
