Murau
The location
Situated in the upper valley of the river "Mur" the attractive, small mountain town
(4500 inhabitants) offers a peaceful atmosphere and the clean air of a higher mountain region.
The mild, dry climate with a high number of sunny days and Murau´s popular convalescent home
"Stolzalpe" made it well-known far across the borders of Austria.
Accommodation
A modern ski hostel situated at the height of 1600m
above sea level in an absolutely calm unspoilt
environment. The students live in small but comfortable
triple - bedded rooms, providing washing facilities and
a narrow wardrobe for each. The floors contain 24 showers. The building also provides sauna,
solarium, gymnasium, a bowling - alley, big lecture halls and recreational rooms.
Students are offered 5 meals a day. All tuition rooms are in the building.
Sports facilities
There is a new multi - purpose sports ground that can be used also as a tennis

court without extra
payment. Volleyball and basketball matches are
the highlights of our sports
programme. Swimming is possible in the natural pool of Murau
and also at the local indoor swimming - pool. The nearby riding-school does
the transfer to the horse riding lessons and back again by mini-bus.
Excursions
Two afternoon walks (2-3 hours) are organised for all students on the course.
The dairy, the mountain lake, the mountain cabin "Troghütte", and the peak of
the "Frauenalpe" (2004m) are unforgettable experiences. Furthermore there
is almost daily the possibility to walk to town (30 min).
Arrival and departure
By train: reduced fare for groups more than six students possible.
Beyond that, your journey can be individually arranged and booked according
to your wishes.
Caution money
At arrival a caution money of € 100,- is to deposit for possible damages etc.
