Gruenau, a village with 2100 inhabitants, is very famous for it`s wildlife park and for the Konrad Lorenz institute for research. The region is well known as a leisure region for a summer holiday or as for a winter holiday. accommodation: A nice and friendly house, only 1 kilometre away from the village. The rooms, 3 or 4 beds a room, are airy and cosy and in a quiet surrounding. There are also two rooms available with access to an elevator for handicaped people .The meals are served on a self service base.The class rooms are in the same building.

In the village there are two tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool.Bicycles can be brought in. In short distance you can surf, swim or sail on lake Traunsee.For horse riding, Aurachkirchen is a good place. excursions: Almsee and Oedensee, both lakes; the Cumberland wildpark, Kaasberg; Castle of Muehldorf with it`s museum of criminal history.
